Chris Docherty joined Holeside Training in 2007, bringing valuable experience from his previous role as a Plant Trainer Assessor with the National Construction College Scotland. This extensive industry background, combined with practical knowledge of construction plant and equipment, enables our experienced team to deliver training and assessment that reflects the real requirements of today’s workplaces.

We provide training, testing and assessment on a wide range of construction plant and equipment, working to the standards of recognised awarding bodies including CPCS, SQA, NPORS and IOSH. Our courses are suitable for individuals, contractors, construction companies, demolition businesses and local authorities looking to develop competent operators and maintain high standards of workplace safety.

Holeside Training has also developed the IOSH-approved Safe Use of Shoring in Excavations course, providing specialist training focused on excavation safety and the correct use of shoring systems. This course is available in two formats to suit different training requirements: a two-day practical course providing hands-on training for those who require an introduction to the safe use of shoring in excavations.
