NPORS Training & Testing

Our NPORS Testing Centre provides professional training, assessment and testing for construction plant operators looking to demonstrate their skills and competence. The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) was established in 1992 and has developed into a widely recognised operator certification scheme supporting industries including construction, utilities, distribution and warehousing, ports and marine, rail and agriculture.

NPORS focuses on ensuring that appropriate training and practical assessments are delivered to industry standards. Operator assessments are designed to evaluate an individual’s practical operating ability, knowledge and understanding of the equipment they are being assessed on. The assessment criteria have been developed through industry experience and input from NPORS accredited training providers and instructors, helping ensure testing is practical, relevant and suitable for the workplace.

At our NPORS Testing Centre, we can support operators and employers through the assessment process across a range of plant and equipment categories. Our experienced team understands the importance of competent plant operators and the role that quality training and assessment plays in maintaining high standards of health, safety and workplace competence.

Following successful completion of the required practical and knowledge assessments, operators can obtain an NPORS Operator Registration Card showing the categories of plant they have demonstrated competence to operate. Where the appropriate NPORS or recognised industry health and safety training has been completed, relevant health and safety achievements can also be recorded on the operator’s card.
